Long and disciplined queues seen in front of state-government-run foreign liquor predict a chaotic future. The backbone of good governance, state’s valuable human resource, is getting destroyed by alcohol. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that we do not have a ‘lost’ state. When governments deviate from their responsibility, either for pleasing liquor barons or for filling the state exchequer quickly, it becomes the duty of every citizen of this country to remind and persuade governments to take steps so as to ensure a ‘welfare’ State.
